To find out who made a health page or app, read the « About » section of the site, or the publisher’s name on the store listing. Then ask three questions.
Who? A hospital, a government, a university, a company?
With whom? Are health professionals named?
When? Is the update date shown? You should see these three answers on a serious page.
If you don’t see it: a site with no author and no date deserves more caution. Show the information to your health professional before acting on it.
Limitation: a well-known logo can be copied. Check that the site’s address matches the organization.
To picture it: before believing someone, you ask who they are and why they are speaking.
